AREAS OF EXPERTISE :
Regional Integration and Infrastructure
# 11 Item of the Agenda of United Nations
The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace, and justice.
According to UNOPS and the United Nations Environmental Programme, globally, there are large gaps in infrastructure service delivery and accessibility - around 2.2 billion people lack access to safe drinking water, 4.2 billion lack access to sanitation, 1,940 million lack electricity, and 1 billion lack access to all-weather roads. Economically disadvantaged people are, to varying degrees, underserved by infrastructure. When infrastructure services do exist, prevailing socio-economic inequalities and poor design can inhibit these vulnerable groups from accessing them.

We will be in this events
With less than 10 years left to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it is vital to end poverty and hunger and achieve food security for the most vulnerable. The Commission for Social Development will convene its sixtieth session (CSocD60) from 7 to 16 February 2022
The issues that are part of the work of the CPD are relevant and current and deserve to be addressed with commitment and decision. Issues such as international migration, gender equality, sexual and reproductive health, international cooperation, multiple forms of violence and discrimination, among others, are today more than ever a top priority on the international agenda.
We are called to eliminate the gaps that exist at the international, regional and national levels to provide the maximum possible well-being and guarantee human rights for all.
The global crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has deepened inequalities but affects especially women around the world who have historically suffered from inequality and discrimination. Until the gaps that affect women are reduced and they are given the equal opportunities they deserve, it cannot be expected that the consequences of the global crisis will be overcome, even less the achievement of the SDGs.
